What does everything weigh?
This is our most common question! The empty vest, including the piping and pump, weighs 1 lb 12 oz. The 6 oz battery pack fits comfortably in the pouch at the back of the vest. We recommend adding one 16 oz frozen ice core (1 lb) and 16 oz of cool water to the reservoir for optimal circulation.
How does this work?
One Ice pack with a special anti-thawing, non-toxic gel is added to the vest reservoir which then gets filled with cool water. This creates a fully enclosed system that routes the water flow around the front and back of the vest along the lines (shown in blue on the product image, but not visible on the actual vest).
Turning the vest on starts the pump system. As the cooled water comes near your body, it wicks heat away from you and re-cools it as it passes the ice pack in the reservoir. The BPA-free polyethylene (PE) reservoir assists in maintaining a cooler temperature to optimize the time that the ice pack stays cool. Simply replace the ice packs as needed by keeping them in the freezer, ready to swap.
The 10,000 mAh battery is in a self-enclosed water resistant pouch to help to protect it.

Do I have to use the Ice Cores?
No! You can use any of these three cooling options:
- Ice core and water
- Ice cubes and water
- Cold water alone
Can I use this for sleep?
While the Breeze Unisex Cooling Vest is safe to sleep in, some users have found that it's not very comfortable for this purpose.
Are the Ice Cores non-toxic?
Yes! They are safe and non-toxic, but not recommended for ingestion. Accidental ingestion of product may require medical attention, do not induce vomiting. See product insert/directions for MSDS information.
Is the Breeze Unisex Cooling Vest water resistant?
The material is moisture wicking, however it is recommended to wear a thin layer between your skin and the Breeze Unisex Cooling Vest to maximize comfort.
After-Use Care Instructions for Your Breeze Unisex Cooling Vest
To ensure your Breeze Unisex Cooling Vest remains in top condition and performs optimally, follow these after-use care instructions:
- Empty the Reservoir: After each use, empty any remaining water from the reservoir.
- Air Dry Completely: Use the convenient hook on your vest to hang it with the cap off and air dry completely. This ensures no moisture is trapped inside, preventing mold and mildew.
- Re-freeze Ice Cores: After each use, remove the ice core from the vest and place it and any other used ones in the freezer so they are ready for your next use.
How do I clean my Breeze Unisex Cooling Vest
If your vest gets a little dusty, just wipe it down with a damp cloth. If it’s really filthy and needs a deeper cleaning, here’s what to do:
- Locate both the pump and the battery inside the back zipper pocket.
- Disconnect both tubes and the electrical connection from the pump.
- Disconnect the battery.
- Set the pump and battery aside for later.
- Hand wash and air dry.
- Once dry, reconnect the pump and battery prior to use.
Your gear can go just about anywhere you go—but NOT in the washing machine. Machine-washing your gear can twist or tear the tubing and fixtures, and wear away the fabric’s weather resistant coating.
Battery Care
- Fully charge and discharge the battery every 3-6 months.
- Only use Gobi Heat batteries with your product.
- Discontinue use if your battery becomes damaged, dropped, tampered with or otherwise compromised.
- When traveling with your battery, pack battery into carry-on luggage, not checked luggage.
- Do not dispose of battery in trash. Please use proper recycling.
